1. Are you located close to Route 6?
Yes, but we do not see or hear traffic, since our old country road winds behind a small hill. At Chez Sven, you can reach both the village and the beaches without traveling on Route 6.

2. Are there any restaurants within walking distance?
Yes, Wicked Oyster is a five-minute walk away.

3. Is there a bank with ATM nearby?
Yes.  Seamen’s Bank is a three-minute walk away.

4. Do you offer accommodation for a family of four?
Yes.  We have two-suites.  Check out our Combo rates.

5. Is Chez Sven “kid-friendly”?
We are happy to accommodate children of all ages and especially welcome parents of toddlers and young children, who delight in the shallow waters of Dyer Pond, close by.

6. What time are check-in and checkout?
You can arrive any time after 2:00 pm.  We request that you inform us of your approximate time of arrival. Checkout is 10 am.

7. Is there a lodging tax?
No.

8. I have chemical sensitivities.  Is Chez Sven the appropriate choice?
We do our best to keep our bed & breakfast allergen-free. We are happy to answer questions related to specific allergens.  You are used to living with chemical sensitivities and can be a better judge of the risk.

9. Can we bring our own candles?
No.  We maintain a stock of non-polluting candles, available upon request at registration.

10. Should we bring firewood for Seagull Cottage?
We provide complimentary wood for your first fire.  More is available at a small charge.

11. What is your cancellation policy in summer?
Should you need to change or cancel your reservation, we will gladly refund your deposit, less a $25 service charge, if we can re-book your room for the period of the reservation.

12. Is there a pharmacy nearby?
We are happy to say that the Outer Cape Health Services Pharmacy opened in 2011 and is located at the foot of Old King's Highway, a three-minute walk away.

13. Is there a television?
Seagull Cottage has a flat screen TV.  Liberty Coin Suite has a TV, too.   Each TV has a DVD player.  There is no TV in the Green Room.  We have a selection of recent foreign films in our DVD collection for guests to enjoy.

14. I am allergic to dust.
Happy to say no frou-frous here!  (Sandy is allergic to dust, too.)

15.  What is a Swedish breakfast?
Our Swedish breakfast is homemade yogurt, garden tomatoes, salmon paté, cheese and fresh bread.

16. Do you have internet acces?
Yes, we have wireless cable (Comcast) internet access. Which means that if you bring your wireless laptop, you will be able to browse the internet. (no wired connection)

17. When should I send my 50% deposit?
Immediately upon booking. We will hold your reservation for five days. We always confirm check arrival.

 

18. How can we reach you by phone?
We prefer email contact first and will provide you with our phone number, if so desired. Please do not call before 9 a.m., since guests are sleeping.  We also prefer answering phone calls during the day, rather than in the evening.  Thanks for your consideration.
18. Do you have maid service?
No, we are a small B&B, and, since we treat guests like friends of the family, we will not enter your bedroom once you have moved in, unless invited.  We do, however, change sheets and towels after three days for longer stays, upon request.
18. How can we reach you by phone?
We prefer email contact first and will provide you with our phone number, if so desired. Please do not call before 9 a.m. (ET), since guests are sleeping.  We also prefer answering phone calls during the day, rather than in the evening (for the same reasons).

20. Can we stay for one night?
No, there is a three-night minimum stay in the summer.
Exceptionally we will do a one night stay but there is a surcharge.
